As you know, we take LGBTQ+ rights & equality very seriously as an organization. Pride Month is an important part of what we do and in these dark times, we’re more dedicated than ever in the fight for liberties & freedoms. Rhode Island Atheists had a fantastic weekend in North Kingstown and East Providence Pride events. From the attitude of the crowds, to the energy of the parades to the conversations we had with patrons- One thing is clear: Although our federal government currently stands engulfed in the flames of fascism & theocracy, the beacon of democracy & human rights shines firm in the Ocean State!
